Instep and Schwinn swivel wheel jogging strollers have been recalled due to a defect with the front wheel that poses a crash and fall hazard.

To date there have been 132 reports of the front wheel becoming loose or unstable, of which 215 have led to injuries which included bumps, bruises, abrasions, lacerations and sprains.

The recall involves single and double occupant swivel wheel jogging strollers sold at retailers nationwide including online retailers such as Amazon and Target. The recalled strollers have a quick release mechanism for removing or reattaching the front wheel. And includes the following models: Instep Safari, Instep Grand Safari, Instep Flight, Schwinn Turismo and Schwinn Discover Single and Double stroller. What Should Consumers Do Now?

Consumers are urged to discontinue using these strollers and to contact Pacific Cycle to request a repair kit that will secure the front wheel. The recalled strollers cannot be returned to the retailers where purchased. Consumers can watch a repair video on the Pacific Cycle company Web site.
