Toy Recall – Toy Light-Up Frogs & Ducks Due to Choking Hazard;

Comments Off

Toysmith, working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), issued a voluntarily recall of more than 30,000 toy light-up frogs and ducks because a pin on the bottom of the toy can detach, posing a choking hazard.

The recall includes light-up soft plastic toy frogs and ducks. Photos of the recalled toys can be viewed on the CPSC Web site for reference. To this date there have been no reports of injury involving this recall.

Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled toys and to take them away from small children. They can be returned to any Cost Plus World Market to receive a refund. The affected toys were distributed between July and December 2012.

For additional information, consumers should contact Toysmith at (800) 356-0474 or online by visiting http://toysmith.com/safety.

Parents and caregivers should regularly monitor the CPSC Web site for recalls on defective toys and products. The agency is in charge of receiving incident and/or injury reports relating to this product and others. If you have an experience to report, please visit SaferProducts.gov.

Deaths, injuries and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $900 billion annually.
